AMANDA JEFFERSON

Making Digital Declutter Fun and “Good Enough-ish”

Amanda Jefferson is on a mission to help busy people quiet the noise in their digital lives. Through her company, Indigo Organizing, Amanda guides overwhelmed professionals—often senior executives, small business owners, or working moms—toward a sense of calm and clarity by helping them declutter their digital worlds. Her services range from 1:1 coaching and engaging workshops to fun accountability groups that hold participants to their goals. Amanda’s empathetic, encouraging approach and relatable content make even the most chaotic inboxes and overwhelming files feel manageable. But what truly sets her apart is her focus on making digital organizing practical, approachable, and—true to her podcast’s name—“good enough-ish.”

When Amanda discovered that her #VISIBILITY style was The Guide, everything clicked. She had always embraced the philosophy that people don’t want to be lectured to or judged for being disorganized—they want to be understood and supported. “I’m a big fan of Building a StoryBrand by Donald Miller, which is all about positioning yourself as the Guide and not the ‘hero,’” she explains. “That resonates with me because people want to feel like you're on their side, cheering for them, and just lovingly showing them ways that they can make their lives easier and their days brighter.”

This realization sparked a game-changing strategy for Amanda. About six weeks ago, she began posting daily on Instagram, zeroing in on content formats that felt “fun and easy” for her to create: carousels, talking head reels while walking her dog, and quick B-roll clips with hooks.

“Fun and easy has been a big theme in my entrepreneurial career,” Amanda shares. The impact has been immediate—her engagement and reach have skyrocketed, and she’s gaining invaluable feedback from followers about their struggles with digital clutter, which she’s now using to refine her next product offerings.

#VISIBILITY STRATEGY:

So, what is the Guide style? Melissa Barker, Founder & CEO of Women Entrepreneurs Inc., has created eight unique #VISIBILITY styles to help women entrepreneurs harness their strengths and values to effectively grow their businesses. Each style offers a distinct approach to #VISIBILITY, outlining strategies that make getting #VISIBLE feel both authentic and enjoyable—find your style here!

Guides are the trusted mentors who make their audiences feel seen, heard, and supported. They focus on creating content that is educational, reassuring, and actionable. Whether through step-by-step instructions, problem-solving advice, or motivational tips, Guides position themselves as dependable resources who genuinely want to help others succeed. Their #VISIBILITY thrives on one simple truth: people don’t need perfection—they need someone who understands their struggles and offers practical ways to overcome them.

“Fun and Easy” is Amanda’s Secret Sauce

By showing up consistently and finding her unique voice on Instagram, Amanda has tapped into something powerful. “I’m having more fun than I ever have on social media,” she reveals. And her followers have taken notice. Amanda is seeing increased engagement and organic traffic to her mini-courses, such as her $17 Gmail course, which helps people simplify their email workflows. As she continues to show up authentically, her relatability and genuine desire to help others make her an approachable guide who’s easy to trust.

From Rookie Mistakes to Refined Strategy

Like many entrepreneurs, Amanda’s early #VISIBILITY strategies weren’t all smooth sailing. She recalls a cringe-worthy moment back in 2016 when she spent $650 on an ad in a golfing publication, hoping to attract clients. “Of course, it was a total bust and a waste of time and money,” she admits. “I felt like a total rookie, but I learned from it!”

The experience taught Amanda a valuable lesson about building the know, like, and trust factor. #VISIBILITY isn’t just about being seen; it’s about creating multiple touchpoints where people can experience your authenticity. “People would hire me after joining my email list, following me on Instagram, seeing me give a talk, hearing my friend talk about me, or attending an online event I did. They needed many touchpoints vs. a static ad in a throw-away publication.”

EMBRACING MULTIPLE #VISIBILITY CHANNELS

Today, Amanda leans into a multi-channel strategy that allows her to connect with different audiences in meaningful ways. “Instagram is great for sharing low-ticket offers like my Gmail course,” she explains. “LinkedIn works best for securing speaking opportunities, but I’m not on there as much as I should be.” Her weekly “Amanda’s Top 3” emails—ranging from tech tips on setting up your Apple Watch to her favorite slip-on sneakers—have been a surprising source of #VISIBILITY and connection. With an open rate of 70%, Amanda’s email list has become a community in its own right, with subscribers looking forward to her light-hearted, informative content each

What’s Next for Amanda?

Amanda’s looking forward to expanding her #VISIBILITY even further by launching a YouTube channel. “So much of what I teach is tutorial-style,” she says. “I think YouTube would be great for SEO and my personality style. People just want super valuable content, and I feel like I have a lot of that to share!” By embracing her role as a Guide, Amanda is proving that #VISIBILITY doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With her “good enough-ish” mindset and “fun and easy” approach, she’s inspiring others to tackle digital clutter and live more intentional, simplified lives.

With her relatable, down-to-earth style and genuine desire to serve, Amanda Jefferson is leading the way—one organized inbox, clean desktop, and simplified digital life at a time.
